SFIA 106: Specifying Cold-Formed Steel Framing for Design and Construction Professionals

A webinar of the SFIA Forum  for CFS industry outreach and Input

June 30, 2022 2:00 - 3:00pm Eastern

Structural general notes and architectural specifications that are clear, correct, and up to date can play a vital role in helping avoid unnecessary delays that are costly to the owner and everyone on the design and construction team.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Articulate innovation within the cold-formed steel industry as it relates to steel framing.
  2. Translate this innovation into clear and concise architectural specifications.
  3. Avoid challenges during the construction phase through accurate information and communication.
  4. Enhance quality assurance on cold-formed steel framing through architectural specifications. Specifically using as a basis the SFIA architectural guide specifications for both nonstructural (section 092216) and structural (section 054400)
This course is registered with AIA CES and participants will earn 1 HSW LU. Credit(s) earned on completion of this course will be reported to AIA CES for AIA members.
