Energy Codes and Cold-formed Steel: A new paradigm
October 28 2014

Energy codes and standards have changed dramatically over the past few years, adding new and unique challenges for almost every type of building and all climate zones.  New exterior continuous foam insulation requirements, in particular, could result in unnecessary additional costs if CFS is not effectively designed and integrated into the project early in the process.

Webinar attendees will learn the essential aspects of the two documents that govern energy performance in the US, including:

The envelope requirements that will impact CFS assemblies,
Alternatives to the costly prescriptive requirements in these documents, and
How the designers and contractors can play a larger role in the overall building design to arrive at optimized CFS designs.
